Custom Ankle Foot Orthosis (AFO)

An Ankle Foot Orthosis (AFO) or Knee Ankle Foot Orthosis (KAFO) is used to provide increased control and stability to the Lower Limb for a variety of conditions. These may include:

• Charcot Marie Tooth
• Cerebral Palsy
• Stroke/CVA
• Spinal Cord Injury
• Foot-Drop
• Perihperal Nerve Damage

An AFO may be Off-The-Shelf (OTS) or Custom in design.  A KAFO is predominantly Custom made.  These devices require a specific assessment and prescription to ensure the best outcome is achieved.

Our Principal Orthotist, David, has 15 years industry experience in the Assessment and Fitting of these devices, and will work closely with you to ensure you achieve your goals no matter how big or small they may be.
